PIBhub signs MoU with World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai and All India Association of Industries (AIAI)
Mumbai, March 28, 2025 – As part of its ongoing mission to strengthen Portugal–India economic cooperation, the Portugal-India Business Hub (PIBhub), represented by its President Altino Álvares, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Trade Centre Mumbai (WTC Mumbai) and the All India Association of Industries (AIAI).
These landmark agreements laid the foundation for enhanced business matchmaking, investment facilitation, SME internationalisation and institutional and trade cooperation, reinforcing the shared vision of building a sustainable and forward-looking partnership between Portugal and India.
Special acknowledgements were extended to:
- Ambassador João Ribeiro de Almeida, Ambassador of Portugal to India, for his commitment to strengthening institutional and economic ties between our two nations;
- Ambassador Puneet Roy Kundal, Ambassador of India to Portugal, for his continued encouragement and support in advancing India–Portugal business and cultural relations; –
- Capt. Somesh Batra, Vice Chairman of WTC Mumbai and Honorary Consul of Portugal in Mumbai, for his steadfast support and warm welcome to the PIBhub delegation;
- Dr. Vijay Kalantri, President of AIAI and Chairman of WTC Mumbai & Jaipur, for his leadership in expanding Indo-Portuguese business relations;
- Dr. Ravi Kumar, Executive Director of WTC Mumbai, for fostering constructive dialogue and collaboration with PIBhub;
- Priya Pansare, Director Trade and Investment Promotion of WTC Mumbai, for her dedicated coordination and support in ensuring the success of this visit and these landmark agreements.
These partnerships marked a new chapter in building a dynamic economic bridge between Portugal and India – one rooted in collaboration, innovation, and shared growth.
