On 21 April 2026, the Portugal-India Business Hub (PIBhub) held its Electoral General Assembly at the headquarters of AICEP in Lisbon, underscoring the growing importance of bilateral economic relations between Portugal and India.  

This session brought together around 40 members and stakeholders from sectors such as banking, logistics and insurance, reflecting the growing interest in fostering deeper bilateral cooperation.   

The central outcome of the Assembly was the formal election of PIBhub’s new governing bodies for the 2026–2028 mandate, reflecting the ambition to expand the organisation’s impact and deepen cross-ector engagement. The newly appointed governance structure is as follows:

The General Assembly reinforced PIBhub’s role as a trusted platform for collaboration between companies and institutions. The event concluded with a cocktail reception that provided an informal setting for networking among participants, including the Ambassador of India, the President of AICEP and representatives from Caixa Geral de Depósitos.  

Special recognition was extended to Cerrado das Fontainhas for hosting the event, and to AICEP for providing the venue and ongoing collaboration.
