Lisbon, 02 March, 2026 – PIBhub and AIP (Associação Industrial Portuguesa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Do It Global – India session, establishing a framework aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between Portugal and India.
This agreement sought to promote bilateral investment and business development by fostering institutional collaboration between the two organisations. Under the MoU, both parties committed to supporting companies and investors interested in entering and expanding in the Portuguese and Indian markets through mechanisms such as mutual referrals and coordinated promotional initiatives.
The partnership also focused on cooperation in areas including internationalisation, market intelligence and economic analysis. Both organisations agreed to share relevant information and insights to help companies make more informed business decisions when exploring opportunities in either market.
A key component of the agreement was the strengthening of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Through the exchange of knowledge, technical expertise and best practices, AIP and PIBhub aimed to support SMEs in their international growth. The collaboration also included advisory cooperation in areas such as innovation and certification.
In addition, the MoU encouraged the organisation of business delegations, exhibitions, institutional exchanges and training initiatives. These activities were expected to contribute to the development of sustainable and long-term business relationships between companies and institutions in both countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding reflected a shared commitment by AIP and PIBhub to deepen economic ties between Portugal and India while creating structured opportunities for companies in both markets to expand internationally.
