Mumbai, May 1–4, 2025 – The Portugal-India Business Hub (PIBhub) participated in the inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this event brought together representatives from over 100 countries to explore the future of global media, storytelling, and entertainment technology.

PIBhub’s delegation showcased Portugal’s dynamic creative and technology sectors, fostering new partnerships and exploring avenues for cross-border collaboration. The delegation included:

  WAVES 2025 served as a convergence point for cinema, gaming, animation, music, and AI-driven innovation. A highlight of the summit was the adoption of the WAVES Declaration by 77 nations, affirming commitments to responsible AI use, cultural heritage, and the collaborative development of the creative economy.
  
  For PIBhub, the summit represented a catalyst for deepening Portugal–India creative synergies. The delegation initiated strategic dialogues on co-productions, immersive media, and joint ventures in gaming and film, bridging ecosystems across continents.
